BLACK HISTORY MONTH
We are excited to invite you to join us as we celebrate Black History Month. This is a time for us to reflect on the rich history, culture, and contributions of Black individuals to our communities, our faith, and our world. It’s a moment to honor the legacy of those who have paved the way and continue to inspire us with their courage, strength, and faith. Throughout this month, we will come together in worship, learning, and reflection, celebrating the diversity and unity that make us stronger in Christ. We will explore the powerful stories of faith and resilience within the Black community, remembering the important role they have played in shaping our world and church.

Goal: Be intentional with life, and plan ahead like the game of Chess.
Our recent Paint and Pray event was a wonderful gathering filled with creativity, reflection, and community. Attendees enjoyed a relaxing and inspiring atmosphere where they could express their artistic talents while engaging in meaningful prayer and meditation. Guided by skilled instructors, participants painted beautiful canvases, each piece reflecting personal prayers and intentions. The event provided a unique opportunity for spiritual growth and artistic expression, fostering a deeper connection with one’s faith and with fellow participants. It was an evening of creativity, contemplation, and fellowship, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and spiritually uplifted.
Goal: Celebrate women in this month of May
Our Women’s History Month celebration was a memorable and inspiring event, honoring the achievements and contributions of women throughout history. The event featured a diverse array of activities, including keynote speeches by influential women leaders, panel discussions on gender equality, and workshops on women’s rights and empowerment. Attendees enjoyed performances showcasing the rich cultural heritage of women from various backgrounds, as well as an exhibition highlighting notable women in history. The event fostered a sense of community and empowerment, encouraging participants to reflect on the progress made and the work still needed to achieve true gender equality. It was a day of learning, inspiration, and celebration, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who attended.
Goal: Celebrate men & their health in the month of June
Our previous Men’s Health Month event was an impactful and educational experience dedicated to promoting the well-being of men in our community. The event featured a series of workshops, health screenings, and fitness sessions designed to raise awareness about the importance of physical and mental health. Expert speakers provided valuable insights on topics such as nutrition, exercise, mental health, and preventive care. Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, ask questions, and receive personalized advice from healthcare professionals. The event successfully highlighted the significance of men’s health and encouraged attendees to take proactive steps towards a healthier lifestyle.
Goal: Celebrate African Americans and their many accomplishments!
Our previous Black History Month event was a powerful and inspiring celebration of African American history and culture. The event featured a variety of activities, including educational workshops, engaging performances, and insightful lectures from distinguished speakers. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about significant contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of pride and unity as we honored the past and looked forward to a brighter future. It was an enriching experience that brought the community together in recognition and appreciation of Black heritage.
Goal: Spread Christmas spirit and celebrate the holidays with family and friends.
Our previous Christmas Dress-Up event was a festive celebration filled with joy and creativity. Participants donned their favorite Christmas-themed outfits, transforming into jolly Santas, cheerful elves, and sparkling Christmas trees. The atmosphere was alive with holiday music, fun games, and delicious treats. Families and friends came together to enjoy the season, making lasting memories and embracing the spirit of Christmas. It was a delightful event that brought the community together in a heartwarming and festive celebration.
